Tax Tips |
I have experience preparing personal tax returns of all levels of complexity. As a Tax Preparer I do not only process
tax returns but can maximize tax savings, and ensure returns are done correctly while looking out for the best financial and personal interest of the clients. Specific personal tax areas I can assist with include, but are not limited to: rental properties, small businesses, RRSP, tax free savings accounts, persons with disabilities, first time home buyers grant, child care expenses, medical expenses, investment income, and anything else required to correctly file your tax return. I interview clients to obtain additional information on taxable income and deductible expenses and allowances. I use all appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits to keep clients' taxes to a minimum. I calculate form preparation fees according to return complexity and processing time required. I provide discounts for families and low income customers. |
If you have self-employment income from a business, profession, commission, farming, or fishing I will apply my knowledge as a certified tax
preparer and payroll practitioner to accurately determine your tax liability, identify all the deductions you’re entitled to and get you the biggest refund you deserve. I have experience preparing income taxes for business structures as a sole proprietorship and partnership. That experience introduces you to the process of reporting earnings and paying income tax on your business's profits. It will explain how to account for what your business earns, and what kinds of income you have to report. It also tells you what expenses you're allowed to deduct. I can perform all aspects of HST returns including the accounting, completion, and filing. I will ensure that the HST returns are done accurately and timely, so that you receive your refund as quickly as possible, and that no deadlines are missed (avoiding costly penalties and interest). |
Amended Returns
If you find documentation that you think may result in your ability to claim a larger refund after your return was filed this year, last year or the year before, bring it in. I' ll review a prior-year return prepared by you or another tax preparer and then notify you of any missed deductions or credits. For a fee, I' ll then file an amended return for you.
